Dell Introduces 8-inch Bay Trail Venue tablet at IDF

Next up is Dell's 8-inch Venue Bay Trail tablet. We don't have any specs other than screen size, but that makes two Bay Trail design wins announced at IDF. The only disappointing part thus far is both of the announcements came from traditional PC OEMs...

Earth, Dreaming about running x86 Apps on a 8inch tablet is silly.Android/IOS are much more capable in that form factor

Why? 8" is fine. It needs a clamshell-style detachable keyboard now, so you can put it in your coat pocket or bag and have a 100% functional x86 windows computer anywhere.I can't keep buying every single device on the market. I want one phone (5"), one tablet (8"), and one laptop (14.1").

I've never been using Microsoft Windows and suddenly thought, "Damn, this thing would be a lot more useful if it ran Android apps!"But I always think the reverse: "Damn, if only my useless Android device could run Windows apps!"
Android does very little. And it doesn't even do it great - it's just good. Microsoft really could take over, they just need to stop dicking around.
